A modern oratory has been built next to the Basilica: “The Chapel of the Resurrection”. Everything in it is simple: the stone and ceramic altar for the celebration, Christ in glory engraved in the bronze tabernacle, the stylised Christ on the Cross and a tapestry on the rear wall representing the appearances of the risen Christ. There are no stained-glass windows here, just “glass-coloured” slabs which create discrete lighting and an atmosphere of silence. This is a place of recollection.
